Of Beaks and Beakers

I have stumbled upon further evidence that the farm water supply is probably laced with hallucinogenics. Firstly, at one facility at least they have introduced styrofoam beakers emblazoned with the farm logo in all of its glorious garishness. Some folk who use the facility are not always appropriately orientated in time or place, so explainng to them that they have not been mysteriously transported -transcendentally?? - to the mother farm in a distant county is not an easy task.

Secondly, our village magazine has introduced a hilarious game called "Where's Derek?". Village folk with a spare moment when they are not engaged in milk production (q.v. much earlier) have to identify the geographical location of a yellow plastic duck called Derek. Maybe it is a decoy or a further attempt to disorientate us all. We are heading downstream without a paddle.
